Disappearing Messages
Lately on this forum, I've been having a problem with messages disappearing when I submit them. They do not seem to post almost 50% of the time when I hit "submit" and I don't think I'm doing anything differently than when they do post.

Copy. Paste. And re-submit.
I am having the same trouble as are others.
Sometimes you have to do it 2 or 3 times. Its a right pain but 'apparently' they are dealing with it!

Re: Disappearing Messages
Hey guys....yep, this is a pain for sure, especially for us frequent users!
We think we have the problem fixed behind the scenes and are just doing some testing to make sure this problem (and some others) are gone for good. I can also tell you we're close to releasing a major upgrade / improvement to the forum in only a few short weeks.
We're pretty sure this is a case of some short term pains leading to an improved forum for the future!

Re: Disappearing Messages
I've noticed it helps choosing "preview" once before submitting.

Too funny! I had decided that was better if I never previewed before submitting! This is the way superstitions are born.

Hey good on GAP!!
You have just made this problem MUCH worse! Cheers!
So now not only do the messages not post, if you copy and paste and resubmit you now get a message saying you cant post again straight away.
Oh joy!
Wonder if I'll even get this posted!

Re: Disappearing Messages
I am able to use the back button to return to my composition and submit it again. If it doesn't go on the second try, I just go back and try again. I know this doesn't work for everyone--not sure why--but it's worth a try if you haven't tried it already.

Re: Disappearing Messages
Doesnt work for me Judy - sadly - when I hit the back button my message has disappeared.
I will try to curb my frustration as I have just read that the new improved site is to be launched later this month - hurrah!

I've seen a preview and I can tell you that a lot of good design work has gone into the new site. Can't wait to see the final.
