Nepal in August

Ancient temples swallowed by the jungle, rice paddies, local markets, stunning beaches, fiery cuisine, smoking incense at the feet of a golden Buddha, and the friendliest locals around.

Nepal in August

Postby cinda26 » Sun Jul 14, 2013 3:04 pm

I'm travelling to Nepal in August and was wondering if anyone could advise me on what clothing to take and whether i should take a sleeping bag?

I will be visiting; Chitwan NP, Lumbini, Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Nagarkot & Chisapani. I will be doing some walking in these areas and staying in Teahouses. What kind of temperature is it at this time of the year? Especially at night.

Thanks :)

In Nepal in august it is rainy season. You may have to face rain at any time. The temp is moderate and varies according to the city you are staying. You can take light summer clothes with umbrella or raincoat.

hi :D

I agree with last post. Take a rain jacket and an umbrella . We got caught in a monsoon downpour the day we arrived at the monkey temple. And of course we left our rain gear on the bus . very smart people we were.

cheers
