Indochina Discovery - Luggage

Postby noxi » Wed Jul 10, 2013 11:17 am

Hello there!

I'm going on the Indochina Discovery in August.

I'm unsure wether to take a suitcase or a backpack for the trip. I don't own a backpack that I could use for the trip so I'd actually prefer to take a suitcase.

Did anyone go with a suitcase and can tell me if they struggled with it?

What were your experiences with backpacks?

Also: do you have any suggenstions what I should definitely pack?

thanks for your help!

Anything is doable, I've done large portions of your trip and there are legs that are not the best with regular luggage. Such as navigating busy train stations or when your luggage has to get tied to the roof of a truck. I'd recommend a backpack, locally I know there are a few places that rent them, a few on sale on craigslist etc.

The idea is that you are comfortable and nimble. If all you have is regular luggage then we can make it work. Have a great time... I loved Vietnam.
