New Delhi hotels & clothing advice

New Delhi hotels & clothing advice

Postby matnally » Wed Jul 03, 2013 10:15 am

I will be going to India in September and I am looking for some advice about where to stay and go shopping in New Delhi.

I’m not looking for 5 star hotels or designer shops. I’ll be a typical backpacker so no luxuries for me, just a room with air conditioning and a (western) toilet. As for clothes, I just want something I won’t sweat in!

I have been told Paharganj is a good backpacker area to start in and there are some good markets near there.

Has anybody been there or know of somewhere better? Any advice is welcome.

Thanks in advance,

Mat.

Paharganj is a great place, I'd head there too.

I love Nike dry-fit on trips to hot places. Cool. Dry fast.
