Is it recommed to exchane U.S currency to yuan (chineese currency) in advance, @ airport, or wait to get into the center and town?

The rate usually sucks at the airport....

Cheers

Hi Joe,

It's best to buy Chinese currency when you get there. The government sets the rate of exchange and if I remember it was pretty firm no matter where you changed your money. Airport, Bank, or sometimes even your hotel are about the same. It goes without saying, to exchange money just don't use the guy standing on the corner.

Have a great trip around China,
