Holi 2014

Ancient temples swallowed by the jungle, rice paddies, local markets, stunning beaches, fiery cuisine, smoking incense at the feet of a golden Buddha, and the friendliest locals around.

Holi 2014

Postby xmx89 » Sat Jun 08, 2013 8:30 am

Hi
I was wondering if anyone has experienced the Holi festival in India?
Next year it's on the 17th March and I have been looking at the Golden triangle tour to accompany this. However I'm not sure where the best place is to join in with the festivities? It's proving difficult to align the tour dates along with Holi!
Any suggestions or tips?

Hello,

I will be attending the Holi festival on the "India on a Shoestring" trip in March 2014. I believe it puts me in Agra. It is a great time, back in 2010 I was in Pushkar during that time. Delhi is a good place to join in the Holi celebration, of course if you took a longer trip to India it would put you there during Holi. I recommend bringing clothes you don't mind getting colors on that probably won't all come out. It is definitely worth taking the extra time in India to stay for Holi if you can. Have fun! Send me a PM if you need any specific information.
