Bangkok floating markets

Ancient temples swallowed by the jungle, rice paddies, local markets, stunning beaches, fiery cuisine, smoking incense at the feet of a golden Buddha, and the friendliest locals around.

Bangkok floating markets

Postby emmajc » Fri Apr 19, 2013 3:27 pm

Hi :)
I have a day in bangkok before my tour starts and I really fancy going to the floating markets, is it worth trying to find a tour operator and book to go on a trip or should i make my own way there and do my own thing?
I know theres loads of other things to do in bangkok but I went there last year and i missed out on the markets! Or does anyone know of any other markets worth checking out?
Thanks :)

I posted this on another thread already, but..

I will be going to this one here, and it's pretty close to central Bangkok..

For market, I will be going to Chatuchak market..

Haven't been to any of those places yet, but they both look quite good in pictures.

the floating market is quite a ways out of the central city. we had an extra day at teh end of my tour, and our ceo arranged our transportation for us.
