Couple of clothing questions for Delhi to Kathmandu

Ancient temples swallowed by the jungle, rice paddies, local markets, stunning beaches, fiery cuisine, smoking incense at the feet of a golden Buddha, and the friendliest locals around.

Universal sink plug?

Lonely planet India suggests bringing one. I plan on washing some clothes mid trip, and I'm wondering if a sink plug is necessary.

Also, since it's monsoon season, are socks useful at all or should I just leave them at home. Haha, these have got to be the oddest packing questions.

It's not the same tour as yours, but last time when I was in India with G, the tour guide or hotel arranged for laundry to be done, and it was really cheap. Not sure about your itinerary, so I'm not sure if it's feasible for you or not. And I don't know where they washed my laundry -- tap water or the disgusting water from the Ganges... lol

Can't tell you about socks. I went to India during monsoon too, but it was unseasonably dry. Just keep in mind that even if it's monsoon season, there will probably be dry days.

Hi bethany & dan :D

You don't need a sink plug. Hotel will sort out your laundry for you if you are badly stuck. You could always wash them when you are washing the elephants   leave socks at home.unless you plan to wear wellington boots :x for the monsoon.

Enjoy the trip. You can always buy a sari if you run out of clothes.
It is a great trip.

Cheers
