Weather in India in August

Postby kempy4487 » Tue May 20, 2014 12:57 pm

Hi there,

I really want to go to India and was looking at going in the sumer holidays (August) but I've heard different things about the weather. I know its monsoon season at this time, but how much will it affect the trip? Is it still worth going? I haven't picked exactly which trip yet, but one of the northern ones around Delhi probably.

Thanks

Josh

Hi kempy4487.

I went to delhi/kathmandhu with g adventures in August 2011. The weather was very hot and humid. We also experienced monsoon rain. The verannasai river was swollen when we were there. Could not do the sunrise trip on it, too dangerous. Drink plenty water. Days were hot nights were humid. Air conditioning was handy in hotel rooms. :D

Hope this helps.

Cheers
