Peru Panorama - People

Postby bloo » Sun Jan 06, 2008 8:18 pm

I just returned from a wonderful Christmas & New Year in Peru! What an amazing and beautiful holiday. I took hundreds of photos but just quickly grabbed a few of the people (my favourite types of photos to take) to post here . Will share some more of the rest and Machu Picchu tomorrow :-)

(sorry about the low res but there are so many of them that it would have been difficult to view if the file sizes were larger)

Oh and btw. none of these photos are altered in any way whatsoever (one was slightly cropped but that's it). There are a few I need to adjust the RAW files on and perhaps a couple others to crop a little as well.

But this was my very first time that I actually used my DSLR on manual settings (as opposed to the auto funciton I've always used because I was so clueless). Just before I left I did a 3 day photography course so it was a bit gamble (for me) to put into practice what I've learnt. And not knowing what the results would be until I came back to view it on the pc (because on the little camera screen you can see just about diddly squat).

But overall I felt I now have an understanding of what I'm doing and pleased - even though in my opinion the vast majority of my photos were duds. But then again I took hundreds.

And then I played with some of them in Grayscale....can't decide yet what I like best.

Hi bloo. Thanks for sharing your photos - you got some great shots. Do you have the rest of your pictures posted online? If so, you should post the URL for us to go visit. I was in Peru last year and Machu Picchu - will look forward to seeing your photos from there as well.

Lovely photo's, but definately the colour ones are best as they are a vibrant and colourful people and you show this very well in your pics.

Well done!
