Mexico and Central America Tour Summary

Postby nburgess31 » Mon Feb 11, 2013 12:21 pm

Hi everyone,

Between 15 December and 10 February I undertook the Mexico and Central America tour which is made up of four legs:
1) Mexico Ancient Civilizations - ... ighlights/
2) Mayan Sun - ... ighlights/
3) Volcano Trail - ... ighlights/
4) Panama Experience - ... ighlights/

These four different tours highlighted to me why I travel with G Adventures, lots of fun, great fellow passengers, a commitment to local communities (homestays are a particular highlight) and exceptionally dedicated staff as see via the four different Chief Experience Officers I had on these tours.

The consistency of such dedicated CEOs says something about this company. I've been on Gap / G Adventures tour since 2006 all over the world and the worst CEO / Tour Leader has at least been good, most have been great to exceptional. This rating is based on using other tour companies during my visits to over 50 countries.

The four CEOs were all very different from each other and had different strengths, I.e. energy, experience, enthusiasm, knowledge (including history) but they all had commitment and a desire to make your experiences enjoyable. Thanks to Liza, Gabo, Andrea and Sid.

Accommodation ranged from good basic to very good. Only a few places had cold showers only, most had wifi and laundry services. A very good mix of public and private transportation as well.

Whether you want to do this big tour or the separate ones I'd strongly recommendation visiting this region.

Thanks nburgess31 for posting your feedback.

I'm really glad to see that you had such a positive experience during your Mexico and Great Central American tour with us.

Thanks also for your comments regarding the CEO's on your tour. I have to say that we are very, very proud of what they do. As a company we invest a great deal of effort in making sure we hire the very best. These guys truly are amazing. The impact they make is massive and they really are responsible for elevating our tours from great experiences to outstanding experiences. Their energy, personalities and local knowledge really do combine to create unique and life changing travel experiences.

Thanks again for taking the time to post your thoughts.
