I visited your website.

You have an awesome photogallery. I esspecially enjoy the black and whites. I am curious as to what type and model of camera you use. I don't have a huge buget, but I'd love to buy a new camera for taking pictures on my travels and to use when creating my artwork as well. I'm interested in mostly in nature (underwater and on dry land) and architecture photography. Do you have any advice?

Jessie

camera info

Hi Jessie, thanks for your interest!

I currently shoot with a Nikon D80, however, none of the photos on my website at the moment are done with that camera. For all the photos you've seen I used a canon A-1. I've had it for about 7 years. I swore by it. Until I decided to switch to digital just recently in order to save on film costs. If you'd like a camera like that you can easily pick one up used at a camera shop for around 200 dollars with a lens. Lenses don't cost too much anymore either. I'm actually in the process of updating my site, so if you have a look again in the next few days, everything should be updated. More photos!

Underwater photography i've got no experience with, except for disposable underwater cameras, which work fine if you don't want anything too fancy. I know that if you are interested in scuba diving, there is an actual course they offer for underwater photography.

If you know how to use a SLR camera, most of the digital ones are really good. If your budget isn't so huge then I would suggest the Nikon D70 or the Canon Digital Rebel. They are good beginner DSLR cameras. If you like film, then stick with canon or nikon. Used is usually the best for budget.

If you have anymore questions, just let me know.

I missed your gallery the first couple of looks ... the page loaded to the left, but images were off to the right. Is that on my server or all servers?

Anyway, absolutely wonderful images in some of these galleries. I espcially liked the street candids and the "incomplete" stitched panos. What an interesting look at various parts of the world through your eyes. What an interesting look and concept.

Thanks for posting and sharing!

Hey, thanks for all the great comments!
My site is still kind of under construction, especially due to the error in internet explorer. My site is best view in fire fox if you have it.

Thanks again.

You're an amazing photographer!
I want a better camera, my pictures usually come out slightly blurred. :(
