Thanks for the photos dancos. I'm headed to Galapagos in a week and your images just make me anticipate the trip all the more, something I didn't think was possible.

The pics of the brown pelican in breeding plumage are stunning. Also liked the flamingos with their reflections in the water. So beautiful, so serene.

I too really enjoyed your pictures.
I would really like to visit the Galapagos and it is nearing the top of my 'list' however I have a not insignificant problem with motion sickness which is holding me back! How were the seas when you were there? And which month were you there?

Dan,

I echo the previous "thanks for sharing". Quite enjoyed the pics. It is on my "someday" list.

JJudy- have a good time. From your prior posts, it's clear you've been psyched for this trip for sometime. If indeed you are still living in Ecuador, getting to the starting point does seem less of a hassle. Enjoy.

Zuleika, I went in June 2007 and the water was flat then. It was my first ever GAP trip and the only thing I regretted was not finding GAP sooner.

June is flat - that sounds good - I would still have to live on tablets - are you on land a lot during the day? How warm is the water in June?

Thanks gb. Indeed on both counts. It's a 45-minute flight from here to Quito. I don't envy our friends who will be meeting us there after be taking the red-eye from Los Angeles.

For sea sickness I still recomend you take some pils. Just in case. The boat travels by night and sometime is too rough.
Some of the people on the boat got sick.
Other than that it is a mar4velous trip.
