Wow, great pictures, thanks for sharing! This trip has been on my radar for a while so it was nice to see so many of the places in detail. And some of those sunset pictures in the desert look fake, like you made them in a studio or something... simply amazing.

Great pictures! I recently got back from Egypt as well. Although I didn't take this tour, it looks like we had a similar itinerary. I absolutely LOVED the White Desert (the 'chicken under the tree') and Siwa.

Thanks for sharing!

I personally did alot of the extras I listed below they were worth it IMO

Giza and Pyramids
Camel ride around pyramids - USD 10/EGP 50 (actually I think it was included I can't quite remeber)
(Others in my group payed to go inside the Great Pyramid... they said it was cool.)

Aswan
Tour to Unfinished Obelisk/High Dam/Temple of Philae - USD 15/EGP 80
Entrance fees to Unfinished Obelisk - USD 6/EGP 30
Entrance fees to High Dam - USD 4/EGP 20
Entrance fees to of Philae Temple - USD 10/EGP 50
Abu Simbel by bus (guided tour included) - USD 60/EGP 330

Transport and guide Karnak and Luxor temple - USD 10/EGP
Entrance fees to Karnak temple - USD 12/65EGP
Entrance fees to Luxor temple - USD 10/EGP 50
(others went to mummy museum... they said it sucked not worth it.)

Siwa Grand Safari – USD 60p.p/EGP 340
Including:
Visit to Dunes, cold and hot springs, fossils and sunset on top of the dunes, sand boarding & lunch

Baharia Oasis
Jeep tour in Baharia – USD 35 p.p/EGP 198 p.p.
Including:
Visit to Museum, Tombs, Alexandre Temple, springs, English Mountain & Lunch

Alexandria
Roman Theatre - USD 4/EGP 23
Citadel - USD 5/EGP 28
Pompey's Pillar - USD 4/EGP 23

not listed but something I did on my last day with others in my group.... for extra we got GAP to take us out to the Bent pyramid and Red Pyramid. This was by far the best pyramid experience as there were few people there and free to go down inside them

Cairo compared to everywhere else is expensive.... don't buy anything there. (like souveniers and stuff)

unexpected expenses:
- everyone has their hand out they want a tip from you for everything and anything. While its not alot of money it more annoying than anything.
- Learn to haggle fast... otherwise you'll overpay for everything by 2x 3x 4x

Thanks for sharing the Egypt photos!

I have to ask one thing. Were they slaughtering an animal in a building hallway in that last set?! What was going on there... :o

lol yup.

That was the main floor of the hotel we were in. Hotel was actually on the 4th floor.

Came in the the evening and there was a live cow, next day... well you see what happened to 'bessy'

There was a religious festival and animals were being slaughtered all over the city.
