Egypt photos

Postby chardonais » Mon Nov 30, 2009 5:15 am

Hi all,

Got back from Egypt a couple of months ago. I visited Cairo, Aswan, Luxor, the White Desert, Siwa, and Alexandria.

Enjoy!

Lots of nice photos, Dianna. Thanks for posting.

Personal favorites were tiny pyramids, cats, white desert and the view from the top of the camel.

HI Dianna,

Just noticed you also posted your India to Nepal pics. Just wondering which trip you preferred and why? I've been looking at both trips and right now leaning towards Delhi to Kat.

Great pictures and thanks for putting captions on them! Which Egypt tour did you do?

I wasn't able to travel with GAP (date restrictions), but my itinerary was identical to GAP's "Absolute Egypt". Many itineraries take you to the Red Sea/Dahab/Sharem el Sheik, region - I chose this one, instead, mainly because of the opportunity to go to the White Desert, which was the highlight of the trip for me. I had also seen Siwa on a travel show and thought it looked intriguing. Glad I was able to go there as the people were so wonderful - a welcome break from the constant stares of the cities.

The low point of the trip was Alexandria - can't really put my finger on why, it just wasn't for me.

Fabulous trip!!

Thanks Dianna for the info.! My friend and I are planning on booking the Absolute Egypt trip and your experiences confirmed that it's a great itinerary and we're bound to have an amazing time! It looks like the Absolute Egypt is a popular tour.
