Indonesia - Bali and Lombok photos

Postby Mafioso » Wed Sep 23, 2009 7:06 am

If you're considering Bali and/or Lombok, do it. Just returned from a fantastic trip. Great guide. Great group and even a greater country.

I've posted some photos from the trip:

Very nice photos! The colors--wow! Makes me want to get up and go to Bali RIGHT NOW.

Bali has quite a long list (344 species) of interesting and beautiful birds, many of which have been collected almost to extinction. Did you see any?

I agree with Judy. Simply beautiful pictures! Absolutely love them! I've just now added that trip to my list for next year.

Thanks for sharing. Are you planning on doing a trip review at all?

Glad that you like you the photos. We didn't really come across any unique birds other than flying bats at nights. I highly recommend traveling to Lombok as it was the highlight of the trip for me.

I'm still fighting jet-lag but I will complete a trip review as soon as I stop hallucinating from lack of sleep.

cheers!

The photos are absolutely amazing! Is there any time of the year that's better for travelling? I am considering doing this trip in January-February 2010...

Did you have enough time to wonder around and do stuff you wanted to do and explore? Seems like the schedulees are really full of events..

Thank you. Glad you liked the photos.

I'm not real sure but I think you maybe running into the rainy season in Jan/Feb. We went on this trip in September and the weather was just glorious.

There is also plenty of time to wander and have free time. There are plenty of activities scheduled but they are completely optional. The guides are really casual and laxed about what people want to do or don't want to do on these trips. No worries there. Just be there in time for the buses.
