Bangkok to Bali vaccines

hi ! im doing the Bangkok to Bali trip and I can't decide if its worth it or not to get the rabies vaccine, its pretty expensive but of course I would rather be safe than sorry! anyone going on this or a similar trip got any advice? thanks

I've been to most SEA countries over the last 10 years and have never bothered with rabies vaccine. I've read that you still have to get treatment if you are bitten but you have 48 hours to get to medical treatment in lieu of 24 without a vaccine. So, unless you are really travelling off the beaten track or intend patting every furry creature you spot, I don't know whether I'd bother. Completely up to you of course and definitely talk to your doctor.
