Backpack vs suitcase help!!
I'm doing the 10 day Bangkok-Cambodia-Vietnam trip and was planning to take a fairly small suitcase with wheels but I've read it's suggested to take a backpack. Anyone that has been on this trip and similar and can maybe advise if a suitcase would be ok? I'm quite reluctant to take a backpack as I'm quite small and fear it will be too heavy (not great at this light packing malarkey!)
Thanks xx

Hi
A small wheeled suitcase is fine. It's the large ones that cause the problems. Just make sure that you can carry it for small distances or up a few flight of stairs.

Eagle Creek makes several wheeled backpacks! The straps are concealed in a zippered compartment until needed. I am sure there are other outfits as well, i picked up mine on eBay, saving about 50%.
just a thought!

Hi Jess,
I just came back from Thailand. I didn't do your trip but I took the below bag.

I just put it on my back when I needed to and wheeled it when I could. I was really worried I was to small for a backpack but I had a go with a couple of peoples while on my trip, if anything it was much easier.
Have a great trip
Katy
