Sleeping Bag / Overnight train

Hello

I am doing the Roam China trip at the start of September, staying in hotels and overnight train's.

Do you think i'll need a sleeping bag? It still will be there summer (cool in some places) so i'm unsure.

There's no mention of a sleeping bag in the trip notes. Usually bedding is provided on sleeper trains but you could also take a silk liner just in case. Most sleeper trains I always find cold...they always seem to blast the air con so always carry some extra layers of clothing!

The sleeper trains in China provide excellent bedding in my experience, including duvets, pillows and sheets. No need to take anything extra.

For the Indochina Discovery tour it asks us to bring a "sleep sheet for overnight trains". Do Vietnam trains provide bedding and this is just protection type thing? Or will this be my only bedding?
I was thinking about fashioning some kind or sleeping bag liner type thing. Will that be good?

bedding was also provided on vietnam sleeper trains..but was quite warm when i was there, so i ONLY used my sleep sheet. also, provided sheets in china and in vietnam weren't always changed, so i liked my clean sleep sheet between me and the provided linens/duvets. our guide MADE them change the bedding in vietnam, but in china, wasn't an option.
