Passport Space?
Hey all,
I'm hoping this may be answered, but I have no idea if it's possible? Ok, my current passport has 4 pages used and the other 20 blank. I'm visiting Egypt, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Bostwana, Namibia, South Africa and Turkey. Taking into account visa's and stamps, is that enough pages? Would renewing it and getting those 4 extra pages be a good idea? Anyone who can give me any insight at all would be my new best friend. Thanks in advance
Cheers,
Mel

Re: Passport Space?
Count on needing a full page for Kenya and a full page for Uganda. Tanzania & Malawi ares just an entry/exit stamp with a written note saying I paid my $50...and you get an additional stamp for Zanzibar. Those along with my entry/exit for Zambia are another 2 pages. I got my Zambia visa ahead of time, and it was another page. This might be avoided if you get it at the border??? South Africa is a half page.
I would think 20 pages for 10 countries would be plenty.

Sometimes with the stamps the immigration agent will just squeeze it into a page already loaded with stamps, so as to save space if they see you are running out. Also, when you do eventually run out of pages, send yours in and ask for more pages, not a new passport. At least this is what they do in the US. I ran out a couple of years ago and got some additional pages added, its a bit thicker obviously, but it makes for quite a souvenir once the ten years are up!

Re: Passport Space?
I think you probably have plenty of space for what you describe. It's only if you need a lot of visa pages that you will need new. I'm getting ready to get pages added to dh's passport, and the US State Dept site says you have to be down to 2-4 pages to get more pages added. Dh is down to about 1, so it's time for more pages.
