Overland Safari and Travel Visa's
Hi everyone,
I've searched a few pages now and am yet to find an answer so I apologize if i'm repeating a previous post. I'll be traveling on the DKUA Ultimate Africa and prior to that Absolute Egypt, my question is in regards to travel Visas.
1- Is it advisable to purchase all of our Visas before hand? Or can we actually purchase them at the border crossings as i've heard they are a heck of alot cheaper. Basically if anyone's already been on a GAP overland, i'm just wondering if we have time and will be allowed to purchase them at the check point.
Ideally we'd like to cut costs wherever possible, without getting stuck at a border..lol
Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.
Cheers,
Mel

Hi Mel,
Check out the trip details:
http://www.gapadventures.com/trips/ulti ... ils/#Visas
It seems that you can get the visas there with the group but do confirm with your local consulate as mentioned in the trip details:
This information is accurate at the time of writing, and please contact your local embassy or consulate for the most up-to-date visa requirements and costs, regarding these, and the other countries visited, or see your travel agent. It is your responsibility to have the correct travel documentation.
Happy Travels!

Thanks Travelfun,
I just wanted to double check (somehow I missed that info) as I priced them out with visa connections and the price was insane. It looks like i'm good to go.
Thanks again,
Mel

Did you buy all your visa on your trip are was there any problem?
It's just... I'm leaving in 2 weeks and would like to know if everything was ok?
