Re: laundry?
Most hotels offer laundry services, but be warned that they tend to use industrial machines that will beat the living out of your clothes.
alternatively you could always pick up some camp suds http://www.mec.ca/Products/product_detail.jsp?PRODUCT%3C%3Eprd_id=845524441895045&FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=2534374302695889&bmUID=1268171565118 (good for laundry and having a shower AND biodegradable) and do it your self in the sink and hang to dry with some clothes lines.

Re: laundry?
Just gone through your trip notes and there are plenty of places on route where you can get laundry done quite easily...especially where you have 2 to 3 days in one place. Cuzco, La Paz, Sucre, San Pedro de Atacama, Santiago, Buenos Aires, Rio....no problem at all !
This trip will be one hell of a journey...happy travels!

Re: laundry?
I know in Cuzco we were able to arrange laundry at our hotel (done overnight) so we could wash our clothes after the Inca Trail. The best thing to do is just to ask your guide to let you know where/when to do laundry. They usually can tell you which hotels offer a reasonable service or where you can find laundromats. I've tried washing my clothes in the hotel, but it can be tough to get them dry before you move on.

Re: laundry?
Also, consider packing a little spray bottle of Febreze (or similar fabric refreshing spray). I'm talking about just a little spritz bottle that you might get in a 'travel bottles' pack or similar - less than 100ml. It doesn't replace a proper laundry obviously, but it can extend the wearability of items like shorts or trousers. Give them a spray before you go to bed and hang them up somewhere, and they'll be pretty good by morning.

Re: laundry?
I agree about the febreeze or equivalent and always travel with some - it does make clothes last much longer between washes
