Morocco or Turkey in July

Postby lmsylvester » Fri Apr 05, 2013 3:32 pm

I have the first 2 weeks of July off and am looking at Morocco and Turkey. Which would be better weather-wise at that time? I would want to do a camel trek in Morocco if I went. Recommendations?

In Morocco in July is already quite hot, it's probably not the best time to go there. Turkey I don't know, but I imagine it's the same. I was in both countries and they are beautiful! Camels (actually dromedaries) I saw only in Morocco.

I was in Turkey last year. It was cooler when I was in Istanbul and Cappacdocia area. But when we got to Pammukale and Ephesus, the sun was unforgiving. Most people would try avoid the ruins during noon/afternoon hours. We braved the heat, brought plenty of water and an umbrella. It was survivable.
