going to Kenya and uganda
Hi I'm heading to Kenya and Uganda overland with G-tours.
I`ve read a great deal about the visas at the airport and at the border crossings.
So, I can get a visa in Kenya, and a land visa at the border in Uganda, is this information correct....
I`m excited and nervous at the same time.
This is my first time on a Safari.

It may depend on your country of origin...
but...
Kenya is much more cautious about visas than Uganda, so if no problem getting visa in Kenya, you should be fine.
I recently visited Rwanda, Uganda, & Kenya--visas are no problem for U.S. citizens for certain.

Re: going to Kenya and uganda
I just got back Saturday from Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania. I was traveling on a Canadian pasport and had no issues. It's very laid back there, alot of my pasport info from the three countries is hand written.
The only thing that surprised me was they wanted to fingerprint me at all land borders... i found it odd.
Enjoy

I will be going on the Uganda/Kenya safari starting Sept. 27/2013, then I will be staying for 5 more days in Kenya, doing the Masai Mara (3 days). When are you going? will you be travelling alone?
