More questions....

This time, feet!!

I am on the ultimate Africa trip and was wondering from people's experiences, what are the best types of footwear to bring along?

I'm leaving in January but need to know as soon as so I can put the request in my letter to Santa :-)

Cheers,

Steve

Unless you're climbing Kilimanjaro, you should be find with a pair of sport sandals and a pair of closed toes shoes (hiking shoes, running shoes etc). If it's an overland tour you may want a pair of flip flops for shower shoes at the camp sites.

hi you may need a sturdy pair of walking shoes or trekking shoes for the gorilla trek. We trekked for a total of 6 hours & it was at times muddy & slippery.

I'm a big fan of trail running shoes -- you get the light weight and comfort of running shoes with trail-worthy tread like hiking boots. I would also advise a pair of sandals or flip flops that will let your feet get some air from time to time.
