Tanzania - Kili & Seregenti

Postby tass » Wed Jan 25, 2012 10:58 am

Hi All
We are heading to Tanzania in June/July this summer (2012). Has anyone done the hike at this time of year? What are the temperatures like?
Thanks

I just did Kili & Serengeti in Oct and it was HOT!!!! 40 degree's every day plus humidity. I know it's not June/July, but just to give you an idea. The Serengeti was cooler and I found one day I had to wear a jacket. Otherwise I wore light clothes, shorts, tanks, even then I was sweating lots! Hope this helps anymore questions let me know!

I was in Kenya and Tanzania towards the end of May a few years ago. We only had one evening of rain for about 2hrs and that was it. Didn't really see any mozzies either, except for Tse Tse's when we were in the Serengeti.

Just bring some bug spray with Deet and cover up. You should be fine.
