Traveling to Turkey

ill be in Turkey for three weeks starting April 17. Will be with a tour group (OAT) and will frequently be on our own for lunch. Any suggestions as to what foods are particularily good.

It s all about the Tavuk Doner. (Chicken sandwhich)
You could live on these bad boys and they cost next to nothing.

Don't know where you'll be travelling in Turkey. When I went many years ago, my fondest memory is of being in Istanbul. The small fishing boats were coming in at the end of the day.
Women were waiting for them, with freshly baked bread. They made fires right there, grilled the fish over the open fire, and simply put the fish between two slices of that delicious bread. What a feast it was.
