Fist time Gap - Roam Bangkok to Singapore

Hello im thinking of doing this trip.
It will be my first time over seas and im wondering about what kind of luggage most people take backpack or suit case?
If anyone has been on this tour please let me know what it was like and what kinds of extra tours you went on, shopping, food and free time.

Hi Mel and a very warm welcome to the Watering Hole. Sounds like a great trip for going overseas for the first time. As for luggage then it's really a personal choice. I always take my backpack and I find it much easier especially when you have to walk up steps in hotels/hostals and/or throw luggage on public transport...OK not throw away but have to lift it to place on the top of a bus!
