Asia+me+1

Postby louxise » Tue Jun 15, 2010 10:42 am

Hey guys! Totally regret not travelling before I had my child, however I've decided to not let it hold me back and that we can do it together!!
I am looking for advice for the best locations/trips. Looking at next summer (2011) Asia, me and my (will be) 7 year old daughter.
All recommendations welcome...THANKS :D

Traveling with a 7-year-old can be great! They look at the world in such a fresh and non-judgemental way. Do be prepared to be flexible. For example, don´t do the entire Louvre, just stay as long as it´s fun and interesting. Same goes for performances -- it´s better to leave before it stops being entertaining, IMO. Strange foods were a problem for my son so I had to make some concessions about diet. One trip, he ate mostly bread, butter, jam, and bananas.

Those Asia family trips look really fun! Any one of them would be something you both would remember for the rest of your lives.

Buen viaje!

Hi!!

Off the topic, I guess, but I wonder if you moderators can tell me how to upload a profilepicture?

Sure. Go to the the "User Control Panel" link in the upper right corner (below the Board Index link). Select the "Profile" tab and then the "Edit Avatar" link. See you soon!

RE: Avatar.

J. Judy's instructions will work... sometimes. For some reason on my computer (doesn't matter whether I'm using Firefox or IE8), the Avatar function (and others) is hidden underneath the DESTINATIONS tab on the top of the page. I only found it by sheer happenstance recently when I noticed a number of new Avatars showing up. I went to the User Control Panel - Profile and... nothing. But, while I was moving my mouse around and went over that tab, poof... there it was.

Go figure.

Thanx, guys!!

Seems like I needed graybeards advise also. I searched quite thoroughly before asking, so it was well hidden.

I'll upload a picture if I find one that is small enough ;-)

louxise: Sorry for breaking into your discussion. Wish you good luck with your trip :-)
