New Member from the Canadian Prairies!
Cheers (or yeehaw near Stampede Time)...
It is great to see 50-somethings posting as new members... thanks to GAP Adventures for the mailout in Calgary or I wouldn't have found this place!
I am a 49 yr old travel junkie ~ widowed 5 yrs ago, last offspring is finishing up Grade 11 in a couple weeks... the horizon keeps expanding for me.
I have travelled a lot in my life: solo, couple, family and group. Some travels have been defined by the destination, many by the journey....
I have travelled extensively in Canada, many parts of the US & Mexico and Central America. I am also addicted to the south Pacific / Australasia and hope to have more experiences in that part of the planet (4 trans-Pacific so far). I made my first trans-Atlantic in February ~ I have to admit to not being as keen on Europe ~ still some lucrative opportunities have made me look a little harder lately.
I belong to several travel forums and probably on the email list for most airlines....
